Individuality permeates each part of human body. Just like each
person has genetically determined as well as highly individualistic
nutrition requirements, this bio-individuality concept can also be
applied in our daily yoga practice.

11am-1:30pm: Bio-Individuality and Yoga
We LOVE our daily practice. We LOVE to sweat through the same
sequence day in and day out. We highly RESPECT the tradition and the teaching that has been lovingly passed on from Guru to
And yet, why do we sometimes feel a little discouraged or even
hopeless? Or we may wonder…are our arms too short, our hips too big or is pain part of the practice? How can this be a lifelong
practice? With nearly two decades of regular Ashtanga practice, and through direct learning experiences with the legend, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Sasha will slowly guide students through the Primary series. While the basics and foundation will be the main focus, students will also learn how to best practice according to our gender, age, body type, physical ability, health condition, pain and injury etc.

9am-12pm: Backbends & Introduction to Ashtanga
Do you find backbends challenging and a little scary?
While backbends are indeed one of the most rejuvenating and
therapeutic asanas, they, however, tend to be most practitioners’
least favorite poses. Being invigorating and strengthening, they
stretch the hip flexors and open up the shoulders and chest, an area where most of us hold tension. More importantly, backbends are a counterpose of modern day lifestyle where most of our
movements/activities are forwardbends (i.e. hunching over our desk in front of a computer, driving/riding etc).
In this workshop, Sasha will gently guide students through a
sequence that warms up and prepares the bodies to experience the Ashtanga Intermediate series, with backbends being our main focus.
Ultimately, the opposite movements created by backbends will also help to open us not only physically, but mentally and emotionally; allowing us to wholeheartedly welcome our feelings and new experiences!

2pm-4pm: The Body Knows What to Eat!
Ever feel bombarded with so many different dietary theories, each of which claims that their diet works for everyone??? And if we ever fail on any diet, instead of coming to realize our bio-individuality, we tend to blame ourselves, yes?
The truth is we are too individualistic to eat the same food. Men eat differently than women, and children eat differently than adults. We eat different foods in different times, ages, seasons and locations.
In this workshop we can “un-learn” that any nutrition expert or book can tell us exactly what to eat. Instead, we will explore different techniques to develop and deepen an intimate relationship with our bodies. Besides, we will “deconstruct our cravings” and instead see our cravings as a message from our intelligent bodies. Through this process, we then learn to trust our bodies and cultivate the confidence to eat intuitively. Eventually, our bodies are always our best guide to the foods that support us and allow us to operate at our fullest potentials.
After being authorized by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in 2006, Sasha had
taught traditional Ashtanga Yoga in many places worldwide i.e.
Thailand, China, Japan, Norway, and Germany. She later became
curious and passionate about health and nutrition after going
through years of chronic skin issues. Through knowledge learned at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, Sasha was able to heal her leaky gut syndrome and then became a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. Besides teaching yoga and health coaching, Sasha published her first book (in Thai) “Healthy Gut, No Disease” in 2017.
