Website FAQs

How do you make your juice?

Our masticating slow juicers gently squeezes ingredients, preserving the natural taste & maximizes nutrients lost by high-speed juicers that grind and crush. Ordinary juicers kill all the essential nutrients (especially the heat-sensitive ones) your body needs. Cold-pressed juices contain more vitamins, minerals and enzymes because they use minimal heat and air exposure from the juicing machine. Cold-pressed juices contain a lot more produce compared to standard pasteurized juices you find in the supermarket that use sugar and preservatives.

Do you use organic produce?

Yes. We support local and organic farming practices. With the exception of a few ingredients in the detox juices, we use all locally sourced produce. We try to use organic vegetables when available. Our goal is to be 100% organic as more organic vegetables and fruit become available on the market. With the ingredients that are not organic, we endeavor to use Global GAP-certified produce.

How long can I keep your juices?

Keep it with confidence for up 72 hours in the refrigerator, after which you will need to throw them away if they have not been consumed.

Can I drink your juices if I am lactose intolerant or have a gluten allergy?

Yes! There is no lactose or gluten in our juices. Mandala juices have NO artificial flavors, colors or preservatives and are 100% vegan.

Why does this juice look different from when I last purchased it?

Our juices are made using fresh fruits and vegetables and some variations may occur based on seasonality, and crop conditions such as settling or separation. You may see small specks of vegetable or fruit that have not strained entirely from the machine. Not worry about these small sediment pieces; they are completely harmless and if anything, add some fiber to your system. We have no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, or other ingredients that can prevent the natural settling process. Be sure to give your juice a good shake before drinking!

How should I store my juice?

Take your juice out of the box when delivered and keep it in the refrigerator.

Why is your juice more expensive than those in the supermarket?

Not all juice is created equal. When you consider what you’re consuming everyday - approximately 8-10 kgs of fresh fruits and vegetables - and the process involved, it's actually quite inexpensive.

Can I give your juices to my children?

Do not be afraid to give your children (over 12 months old) fresh cold-pressed juice. It is food in its pure and raw form. It is much better giving your children fresh cold-pressed juices than store bought juices that are often mixed with coloring, refined sugar, preservatives and chemicals. And much better than junk food, processed and packaged foods! These foods are creating problems like obesity and diabetes in children.

Why don't you give all the juices at once for the Detox program?

We designed our delivery schedule to ensure you get the freshest juice possible – two times delivery for the Three-Day Cleanse, three times for the Seven-Day.

What are the benefits of a one-day cleanse?

It's like pressing pause for a day. Your body and digestive system gets 24 hours to rest and heal. It also gets mega amounts of nutrients it can absorb instantly with the juices.

Does it really matter what order I drink the juices?

Absolutely. We really thought this through and have numbered the juices in order of consumption. Our detox is formulated to help with easing your hunger and work at cleaning your body in the proper order.

Which cleanse should I do?

It's really up to you. But we strongly urge you to select your duration based on your activity level and your goals. Don't jump into the deep end before you're ready. Your budget obviously plays a role as well.

What happens if I am allergic to a certain ingredient?

Please contact us by email and we will offer alternatives.

Will I lose weight?

For some people doing the detox program they will lose a few kilograms. But this really isn't the goal. We want you to feel better mentally and physically.

Will I gain all the weight back?

When toxins are released from your body you may feel some dizziness, light-headed, headaches, irritability, skin eruptions, or lethargic. This is normal, as your body gets flooded with simple sugars from the juices, which makes your body produce more insulin thereby lowering your blood sugar levels. With proper hydration (lots of water) and rest you can reduce or eliminate them.

I haven't gone to the bathroom in a couple of days or I have been going more than normal?

Totally normal. Keep up with drinking lots of water and caffeine free herbal teas and consider going for a light walk or taking a yoga class.

Can I cleanse if I have a medical issue? Do medications or prescriptions affect me if I do your detox?

Please address this question with your primary care provider. The efficacy of some medications can be affected by consuming large amounts of fruit and vegetables. A cleanse program is recommended for the general population of healthy individuals. Please discuss the cleanse program with your health care provider if you are currently taking prescription medication.

What if I am pregnant?

Best to check with your OB GYN but better not to. If you are trying to get pregnant or breast feeding, it is best not to do a cleanse but use our juices to add more nutrition to your existing diet.

Can I do The Juice Cleanse if I have diabetes?

Should I continue to take my multi-vitamins?

Up to you. Most people just drink the juices as they will contain more than enough nutrients needed. Vitamin D and B12 can still be taken.

I was shocked this morning to find that my stool was red...

Don't worry. You're fine. It's just the beetroot. On the other hand, if you aren't feeling well please see your primary care provider.

Can I put my child on a detox program?

No, it is not recommended to give children a detox of just juice. Instead, try cleaning up their diet of refined and processed foods and adding in a couple green juices with their meals. Green juices can be a great part of a healthy diet.

Can I eat while doing the detox?

It will be difficult especially if you're a first-timer, but try not to eat anything. Seasoned cleansers will be fine without eating. If it is really difficult for you, try drinking juice until dinner and then having a salad and then take only juices until bedtime. We have juice and meal programs, please ask if you are interested.

Am I going to feel hungry? What happens if I cheat?

It is not the end of the world and you should not beat yourself up if you cheat. Some people are hungry and some are not. Often, if you have the urge to eat, it will be more out of habit than a need for more nourishment. The detox is formulated to give you instant energy and enough calories to feel satisfied. But if you need to, eat vegetables and fruits.

Where will I get my protein?

Believe it or not, plants are a fantastic source of protein. Out of the 23 amino acids (the building blocks of proteins) only nine of them are essential meaning that we need to get them from our diet. By consuming a variety of plants, your body will be getting protein throughout the day. Plus it is actually easier for the body to extract and absorb nutrients from liquefied fruits and vegetable than it is in their raw and cooked forms.

Is there a lot of sugar in your detox juices?

Yes, there are natural sugars found in our juice. They help you feel energized and refreshed after each juice. We have chosen fruits and vegetables that have less natural sugar in them but if you are someone with a pre-diabetic condition or diabetes our detox juices may not be suitable for you.

What are the benefits of juice over raw fruits and vegetables?

Instant nourishment. Drinking raw cold-pressed juices is like drinking a predigested meal and the nutrients are instantly available for absorption by our bodies.

I have a work meeting that I can't bring my juice to. If I eat a light salad, will it totally mess it up?

Not at all. However, the less you eat the less stress there will be on your digestive system. That means your body will cleanse and heal faster.

I need to chew on something. Can I chew gum during the detox?

Gum causes unnecessary gas and bloating. If you really need to, try chewing on raw veggies (i.e. celery, carrots) instead.

Is it ok to exercise while doing the detox?

Yes! As you will have lots of energy and a clear head, you're going to want to move around. Exercise will also help eliminate toxins from your body so don't be afraid to break a move. But listen to your body. If you feel weak or dizzy, take that as a sign that you need to get some rest and drink plenty of water or herbal tea.

Are there times or situations one should not start the detox?

If you're pregnant, nursing or have a pre-existing medical condition, it's best to avoid cleansing. Also if you're feeling overly stressed or have many social or business events. If you are training for an athletic competition or run down from a cold or virus, it's best to wait until you have at least two weeks to devote to cleansing.

Do you offer corporate juice cleanses?

Yes, please email or call us.
